Сorinthian Helmet Ancient Greek Art 4th century BC, Navy T-Shirt

$19.00

We created the artwork for this T-shirt drawing inspiration from  the coin art of Thrace, Messembria's Diobol circa 4th Century BC featuring a crested Corinthian Helmet. The Corinthian helmet originated in Corinth, a city-state in ancient Greece. The Corinthian helmet was depicted on more sculpture than any other helmet; it seems the Greeks romantically associated it with glory and the past. Owning and wearing one became a symbol of status and wealth among Greek warriors.
