Arethusa Sea Nymph Ancient Greek Art 4th Century BC, Charcoal Tee

$19.00

This signature tee is inspired by the intricate designs of ancient Greek decadrachms and tetradrachms from Syracuse, Sicily, circa 405–400 BC. It showcases the nymph Arethusa, adorned with a reed-wreath crown, triple-drop earring, and necklace, surrounded by four dolphins.

Arethusa is a Nereid, one of the sea nymphs and daughters of the sea god Nereus. She is often mentioned in Greek mythology for her connection to water. Arethusa's story is often interpreted as a symbol of transformation and the eternal connection between different forms of water—sea, river, and spring.
